ઇન્ડિયન સ્પેસ રિસર્ચ ઓર્ગેનાઈઝેશન (ISRO) 5 ડીસેમ્બર બુધવારે જીસેટ- 11 ઉપગ્રહ લોન્ચ થયું છે. આ સેટેલાઈટ ઈસરોનું સૌથી વજનદાર સેટેલાઈટ છે. જો આ સેટેલાઈટના લીધે દેશની કમ્યુનિકેશન ફેસેલીટીમાં ઘણો સુધારો થશે.
આ સેટેલાઈટ ભારતમાં બ્રોડબેન્ડ કનેક્ટિવિટી વધારવાના ઉદેશથી જ લોન્ચ કરવામાં આવી રહી છે. ટેલીકોમ સેક્ટરમ માટે આ ઉપગ્રહ આશીર્વાદરૂપ સાબિત થઇ શકે છે. ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારમાં પણ લોકો સુધી પહોચી શકાશે. આ GSAT-11 સેટેલાઈટ દેશમાં ઈન્ટરનેટ ક્રાંતિ લાવી શકે છે.

આ સેટેલાઈટને પહેલાં માર્ચ – એપ્રિલમાં લોન્ચ કરવાની તૈયારી હતી.
આ સેટેલાઈટનું વજન 5,845 કિલો છે.
4 મીટર લાંબુ સોલાર પેનલ
ધરતીથી 36,૦૦૦ કિમી દુર અંતરિક્ષની કક્ષામાં થશે લોન્ચ.
ફ્રેંચનાં ગુએના સ્પેસ સેન્ટરથી થશે લોન્ચ.
ફ્રાંસનાં એરીયન – 5 રોકેટની મદદથી લોન્ચ કરવામાં આવશે.
આ ઉપગ્રહ દર સેકન્ડે 100 ગીગાબાઈટથી ઉપરની બ્રોડબેન્ડ કનેક્ટિવિટી આપશે.
આ સેટેલાઈટ હાલમાં ઉપસ્થિત ઉપગ્રહોની સરખામણીએ યુઝર્સને વધુ સ્પીડ આપશે.
ઉચ્ચ ક્ષમતા ધરવતા થ્રોપુટ ઉપગ્રહ અંતરિક્ષમાં લોન્ચ કરવામાં આવશે.
આ સીરીઝમાં જીસેટ- 20 આવતાં વર્ષે લોન્ચ કરવામાં આવશે.
