એનઈએમઆરસીના મુખ્ય સિસ્મોલોજિસ્ટ ડો. લોક વિજય અધિકારીએ જણાવ્યું છે કે ભૂકંપનું કેન્દ્ર બિંદુ લાંબલંગ જિલ્લામાં આવેલા ભૂલભૂલેમાં નોંધવામાં આવ્યું હતું. સવારે 05:42 કલાકે તેની તીવ્રતા 5.8 માપવામાં આવી હતી.
