The Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to arrange a five-judge Constitution bench to carry hearing on July 18 and 19 to adjudicate upon a vital legal situation if right to privacy is a fundamental right and is being violated in issuance of Aadhaar. A bench presided over by Chief Justice J S Khehar allowed a plea made by Legal professional General K K Venugopal and senior advocate Shyam Divan for constituting a bigger bench to determine the questions, together with the one associated to privacy, raised in problem to validity of Aadhaar. The five-judge would start the listening from July 18.
