ચંદ્ર ગ્રહણ અત્યારે ભારત તથા બીજા ઘણા બધા દેશોમાં જોવા મળી રહ્યું છે. ભારત માં હાલ સાંજે 6.21 વાગે શરુ થયું હતું. આ ચંદ્ર ગ્રહણ લગભગ 150 વર્ષ પછી જોવા મળી રહ્યું છે.
વૈજ્ઞાનિકોના કહેવા મુજબ ચંદ્ર ગ્રહણ ત્યારે થાય છે જયારે પૃથ્વી અને સુરજ વચ્ચે ચંદ્ર આવી જાય છે જેના કારણે પૃથ્વીનો પડછાયો ચંદ્ર પર પડે છે.

આ વખતે ચંદ્રગ્રહણ કંઇક અલગ જોવા મળશે. આ માત્ર ચંદ્રગ્રહણ જ નહીં પરંતુ પૂર્ણ ચંદ્રગ્રહણ છે, જે 3 વર્ષ પછી જોવા મળશે.
આ વખતે ચંદ્રગ્રહણને ૭૭ મિનીટ જોઇ શકાશે. એટલે કે ૫:૫૮ થી ૮:૪૧ સુધી ચંદ્રગ્રહણ રહેશે. જ્યાં સુધી ચંદ્રગ્રહણ રહેશે. ત્યાં સુધી મંદિર બંધ રાખવામાં આવશે. હકીકત, ભારત, ઇન્ડોનેશિયા, ન્યૂઝીલેન્ડ અને ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયામાં આ પૂર્ણ ચંદ્રગ્રહણ સ્પષ્ટ જોઇ શકાશે.
