The Central Board of Film Certification has advised 14 cuts in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Emergency-era drama Indu Sarkar, based on tweets put out by the filmmaker. The film, which is scheduled for a July 28 launch, is about a lady named Indu Sarkar (performed by Kirti Kulhari) who turns into an activist in the course of the Emergency imposed by Prime Minister Indira Gandhi between 1975 and 1977.
