દક્ષિણ ભારતના રાજકારણના પિતા કહેવાતા ડીએમકેના પ્રમુખ એમ. કરુણાનિધિ હવે આ દુનિયામાં નથી રહ્યા. મંગળવારે સાંજે 6:10 કલાકે તેમણે અંતિમ શ્વાસ લીધાં હતા. કરુણાનિધિનું નિધન થતાની સાથે જ સમગ્ર રાજ્યમાં સમર્થકોની રડી-રડીને હાલત ખરાબ થઇ હતી.
બીજી બાજુ કરુણાનિધિના મૃત્યુના સમાચાર સાથે દેશના કોલીવૂડમાં પણ શોક છવાઈ ગયો છે. કલૈગનારની યાદમાં, તમિલ ફિલ્મ કાઉન્સિલે બુધવારે તમામ શૂટિંગના શેડ્યુલ રદ્દ કર્યા છે.

આપને જણાવી દીઈએ કે, તામિલનાડુના ભૂતપૂર્વ મુખ્યમંત્રી અને ડીએમકેના નેતા એમ કરુણાનિધિના નિધન બાદ તમિળનાડુ સહિતના સમગ્ર દેશમાં શોકનો માહોલ છે. રાજ્યમાં એક દિવસની રજા અને સાત દિવસના શોકની જાહેરાત કરવામાં આવી છે. તેઓના પાર્થિવ શરીર પર તિરંગો લપેટવામાં આવ્યો છે. દેશના બધા મોટા નેતાઓ કરુણાનિધિના અંતિમ દર્શને પહોંચી રહ્યા છે.

અત્રે ઉલ્લેખનીય છે કે, કરુણાનિધિને ગત 29 જુલાઈના રોજ ચેન્નાઇના કાવેરી હોસ્પિટલના ઇન્ટેન્સિવ કેર યુનિટ (આઇસીયુ) માં દાખલ થયા હતા. હોસ્પિટલ દ્વારા જાહેર કરવામાં આવેલા એક નિવેદનમાં જણાવવામાં આવ્યું છે કે કરુણાનિધિની ઉંમર મુજબ, તેમના શરીરના તમામ અંગો કામ કરવાનું બંધ કરી દીધું છે.
