કર્ણાટકના ધારવાડમાં એક બાંધકામ બિલ્ડિંગ પડવાથી એક વ્યક્તિનું મોત થયું છે અને છ લોકો ઘાયલ થયા છે. ઇમારતના કરમાળમાં 40 લોકોના દબાયેલા હોવાની આશંકા કરવામાં આવી રહી છે. પોલીસ અનુસાર, આ ઘટના ધારવાડના કુમરેશ્વર નગરની છે. ઘટના સ્થળે રાજ્યના મુખ્યમંત્રી એચડી કુમારાસ્વામીએ મુખ્ય સચિવને તરત જ ઘટના સ્થળે તાત્કાલિક રાહત અને બચાવ કાર્ય પ્રદાન કરવાની સૂચના આપી છે.

કુમારસ્વામીએ ટ્વિટ પર જણાવ્યું કે ધારવાડમાં બિલ્ડિંગના ધરાશાયી થવાની ઘટના સાંભળને દુ:ખ થયું છે. તેમણે જણાવ્યું હતું કે ઘટના સ્થળ પર બચાવ કામગીરી પર ધ્યાન આપવાની કામગીરી મુખ્ય સચિવને સોંપવામાં આવી છે. ઉપરાંત, વિશેષ બચાવ ટુકડીઓને સ્પેશિયલ એરક્રાફ્ટથી ઘટના સ્થળે પર મોકલવામાં આવી રહી છે.
